Both retail bakery and sit down cafe, the patisserie features world-renowned contemporary cakes, cupcakes, chocolates and other confections, cookies, pastries and ice creams all of which are made in house, along with espresso drinks, teas and sandwiches. Citizen Cake is also know for its whimsical kid's cakes as well as its beautiful and delicious award winning wedding and custom cakes.
Situated in a dramatic historic warehouse reminiscent of those found in Europe and New York with a 30-seat bar in the round and both social and intimate dining spaces, Orson's ingredient focused menu is rooted in traditional California cuisine and flirts a bit with the future. Innovative plates, specialties from the wood fired oven and house made delicacies are served along with inventive cocktails, unique and perfectly matched wines and of course desserts to die for.
